Repurposing Old Print Materials

Materials Needed:

  • Old textbooks and workbooks that you don't mind ripping up.
  • Other craft/construction materials (glue, craft sticks, pipe cleaners, yarn, etc.)
  • For “Graffiti Wall”: posterboard, markers
  • For “Luminaries”: 3-D shape cut-out patterns (or Ellison Dies), LED tea lights

What can you do with old books?

Get an inspiration and create something!

At my office, we have an Ellison Die machine that could be used to great effect with this. One idea: cutting out 3-D foldable shapes, putting random hole-punches in them, and putting LED tea lights inside. (add photo here.) Could also use to cut out letters and other shapes for a posterboard “graffiti wall”. (add photo here.)
